There are people before him undeniably but he's at the root of it when deductive reasoning was supplanted and and replaced by inductive reasoning and the scientific method becomes the only method of knowledge which is only one aspect of knowledge and and so the Muslims had metaphysics
but they also had physics and you need both to have a healthy civilization.
